College of Human Ecology

The College started as an institute on November 28, 1974. It became a full fledged college in 1983 and since then has continued to advocate for a holistic and integrative understanding of human-environment interactions and to conduct activities that focus on the fulfillment of basic human needs, resource planning utilization and management, and delivery of social services at the family and community levels. The College develops programs for research, training and community service towards a desirable quality of life for everyone.
The College offers the following degree programs:
- BS Human Ecology
- BS Nutrition
- Graduate degree programs through the Graduate School
The College’s degree programs produce trained and competent professionals who understand human development in relation to the biophysical and social environment, are able to participate in development programs, internalize and apply the ecological perspective to society’s problems; as well as produce human resource who understand nutrition management, and nutrition program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
